Back to where civilization begins
In the east central Iraq, the world is
beginning to British archaeologist Robert Killick exploration Bronze Age, and
the surprise was the presence of skeletons of wild donkeys, with the skeleton
of a man.
Dr.Killick, who has worked in
Iraq for more than a decade, said that “Iraq is the cradle of civilization and
wealth that would give us the evidence of our past.
And this research will continue
for seven years by financed and supported from companies and the project estimated
to cost about 2.7 million.
The site was chosen "Khyber
News", which is a city in the province of Thi Qar. The city is said to be
the birthplace of the prophet Abraham. The site was chosen because it contains
also the sound effects and researchers also believe that people have lived in
the Khyber Aviv for more than three thousand years, from about 5,000 to 2,000
BC.
The good news was that the
archaeologists and researchers Iraqis welcomed to return fossils which is halted
because of the Gulf War and the sanctions that were imposed on Iraq and
announced management personnel local effects of full cooperation and project is
collaboration with the Council of State Iraqi Antiquities and Heritage, and the
British Institute of Study and the University of Manchester.
For his part, Dr. Killick said we
are confident that the project will be just the beginning of a new era in the
exploration and Iraq.
